Banner's
Namesake
When I adopted Banner, his name was "Hunter," and it took me a few days to settle on a new name for my pooch. I chose "Banner" because this is the name of one of my favorite mountains in the Ritter Range of the Sierra Nevada in California. In fact, the route of the Pacific Crest Trail passes very close to Banner Peak, and if all goes well, I would like to climb Banner Peak with Banner. He's looking forward to signing the summit register on the mountain that represents his namesake!  Banner Peak, Sierra Nevada, CA |
